Eskenzi PR

Credant Technologies

It was a natural choice to work for Credant Technologies after working to build its competitor Pointsec Technologies, a subsidiary of Protect Data, from a virtually unknown mobile security company from Sweden into one of the world’s largest mobile security companies, eventually helping to get them sold to Check Point for $586m.

Although Credant’s Marketing division are based in Texas, it doesn’t stop us having the most amazing telephone brainstorming meetings which ultimately result in some fantastic headline grabbing stories.

Take for example the survey with taxi drivers, which showed that 60,000 mobile phones were left in London taxis in just six months. This survey reached international notoriety and was picked up in dozens of countries around the globe.

We did a street survey to show that City workers were paranoid about their jobs and therefore in constant touch with their office whilst on holiday. This hit a cord with the press and got Credant general consumer, trade and business coverage, including a 3 minutes slot on CNN.

Most recently we did a slightly alternative survey called “Data hung out to dry as 9,000 USBs left in Dry Cleaners”. The originality of this survey really captivated the media and Credant received hundreds of press cuttings in the dailies, weeklies, trade and vertical press, including The Times.

The mobile usage survey with the title “Phone Data makes 4.2 Million Brits Vulnerable to ID Theft” also made the headlines, with coverage on the front page of the BBC technology website, The Times, Networld World, Computer Weekly, VNUnet , Dark Reading and even the Adelaide Independent Weekly!
