John Thorp Biog

John Thorp, CMC, I.S.P., is a developer of the IT Governance Institute’s (ITGI’s) Val IT initiative.

Thorp is also an internationally sought-after management consultant with more than 40 years of experience in the information management field. He is the author of The Information Paradox and a frequent speaker on strategic planning, information as a strategic resource, and the effective governance and management of information technology.

Thorp advises leaders of major organizations, assisting them in addressing key challenges, in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific, including Fortune 100 companies. He is a Fujitsu Consulting Fellow, a Certified Management Consultant, holds the Canadian Information Processing Society’s I.S.P. professional designation and is a member of the Society for Information Management in the US.
