At the Israeli Pavillion at the 2018 RSA Conference, Eskenzi founder Yvonne struck up a conversation with Liron Barak, CEO and co-founder of BitDam, a cybersecurity start-up specialising in the prevention of advanced content-borne threats. Connected initially through their passion for cybersecurity, Yvonne was struck by her energy, zeal and clear vision for her company and its product.

Liron’s impression upon Yvonne, and her subsequent belief in BitDam’s capacity to grow into a successful company, was immediate. For this reason, despite Eskenzi’s reputation for growing bigger companies with bigger budgets like AlienVault, Imperva and Janrain, they started a professional relationship and later, a contract for Eskenzi to undertake BitDam’s PR with the aim to establish this little-known Israeli start-up within the conscience of the UK’s security and business media.

A year later…

Just over a year later, it’s safe to say this has been achieved and then some. Since taking on the account in November of last year, with the help, co-operation and willingness of the BitDam team, I’ve seen the account improve the quantity and quality of its coverage quarter-on-quarter. In Q2 of this year we generated 20 pieces of coverage, 50% of which appeared in tier 1 publications. In Q3 we have already generated 24 pieces, 60% of which appeared in tier 1 and national titles, including Forbes, SC Magazine, Computer Weekly, Verdict, New Statesman and the BBC. And all with a small budget!

While I don’t want to tempt fate, it seems like the only thing from here is further progress: even more tier 1 hits and national hits and even greater prevalence across the security and business press.

After all, success stories and breaching PR boundaries is what we do here at Eskenzi!
